gae here again.
No word from GL, but folks in an ongoing Jeanne thread on Free Republic are reporting high winds in GL's area.
Has anyone heard from GL?
Looks like this is gonna be the worst yet, just saw them clocking winds at 100-120 mph on shore.

According to The Weather Channel, GL is getting hammered right about now.
I just hung up from talking to GL. You're are right! He is getting hammered right now. He wants all of you to know that, as of now, he is OK but he won't be going in to work tomorrow because all the bridges are out and if he loses power he will stay home anyway because he can't leave the windows open because of the storms that will continue for tomorrow, at least, and if he keeps the windows shut the dogs will be very, very hot.
I told him to call if he needs anything and that I will assume that everything is OK if he doesn't call.
East coast of Florida update:
Sally and Michael are both fine. No damage, but no power, and no land line phone service.

GL called again last evening. He is OK but still a little shaken up by Jeanne. He says that his place sustained no damage and he didn't lose power. Depending on whether the bridges are out or not will determine whether or not he will go to work today or not. He is going to stay home and help his older neighbor clean up his yard and his house and, if he can, will go into work after noon time.
Good to hear that they are all allright.
Thanks for the updates!
GL is one lucky bastard!!
